Johnny Depp’s emotional interview: ‘I couldn’t take the pain every day’

JOHNNY Depp has spoken out in a bombshell interview about his shocking split from ex-wife Amber Heard, giving his side of the story amid a legal war with his former business manager and admitting he thought he was going to die.

In an interview with Rolling Stone which took place over three nights in a rented London mansion earlier this year, Depp admitted he was “as low” as he believed he could have gotten during that period.

While Heard wasn’t directly mentioned — thanks to a nondisclosure agreement they both signed — he spoke of the depression he entered as his personal and financial lives both collapsed simultaneously.

“The next step was, ‘You’re going to arrive somewhere with your eyes open and you’re going to leave with your eyes closed. I couldn’t take the pain every day,” the 55-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star said.

The former couple met on the set of 2011 movie The Rum Diary and married in February 2015, but divorced just over a year later, with Heard accusing him of physically assaulting her — a claim he’s strenuously denied.

Last year, it emerged Depp was in dire financial straits and his shocking spending habits were laid bare as he entered into a legal war with his former business managers.

As the magazine pointed out, Depp has made $US650 million on films that netted $US3.6 billion, but “almost all of it is gone”.

He’s now suing The Management Group, accusing them of mismanaging his finances and leaving him with serious money woes. TMG is countersuing, claiming his lavish lifestyle that cost more than $2 million a month to maintain caused his recent financial troubles and that the star ignored their repeated warnings.

To help ease his pain amid all the stress, Depp told Rolling Stone that he decided to write a memoir on an old-fashioned typewriter.

“I poured myself a vodka in the morning and started writing until the tears filled my eyes and I couldn’t see the page anymore,” he said. “I kept trying to figure out what I’d done to deserve this. I’d tried being kind to everyone, helping everyone, being truthful to everyone … The truth is most important to me. And all this still happened.”

Given the stressful circumstances, it’s kind of unsurprising that People’s two-time Sexiest Man Alive winner’s appearance of late has concerned fans.

Earlier this month, photos began circulating on social media showing Depp looking gaunt, pale and unwell as he posed with fans while on tour with his band.

Elsewhere in the wide-ranging Rolling Stone interview, Depp reminisced fondly about his love of party drugs, describing how he loved Quaaludes and used to find bootleg versions once they disappeared from the party scene.

“They’re made with just a little bit of arsenic, or strychnine,” he said.

“So the high was far more immediate. You either wanted to smile and just be happy with your pals, or f**k, or fight.”

XXXTentacion’s Alleged Murderer Was Tattoo Artist Who Flashed Money on Social Media

Dedrick D. Williams, a Florida man with an extensive criminal background, has been accused of shooting and killing rapper XXXTentacion. He was arrested Wednesday night (Jun. 20) by the Broward County Sheriff’s Department and is facing first-degree murder charges in XXX’s shooting death.

Before allegedly committing the horrible murder and being subsequently arrested, Dedrick Devonshay Williams—a local tattoo artist who went by the name “Tattooman Chuckie”—apparently loved to flash money and jewelry all over social media, especially on Instagram.

In addition to photos showing off his inkwork, a significant number of photos on Dedrick Williams’ Instagram page show him showing off huge wads of cash. He also wrote a number of disturbing posts on social media that don’t really help his case.

For instance, the day he was arrested, Williams wrote on Facebook: “Don’t piss me off u will never know wats next.”

And in a post on Instagram, dated June 10th, he said, while holding a bunch of 20 dollar bills in the shape of a fan: “I just b ZOOLIN but I’ll lock and get a grip and shake a n**** til he stiff.”

In another IG photo, shared on March 17th, he said: “I ain’t neva ask nobody to like me bitch I’m full throttle” along with emojis of a middle finger, a bag of money, and guns.

He wrote in the caption of another photo: “Every time I plea I plea not guilty in the first place.”

In another, Williams is posing behind bars, which some people pointed out is where he’ll likely be spending a significant chunk of his life. “Look at you practicing for jail,” wrote one commenter.

Ironically, Williams captioned a more recent photo, dated June 5th: “Thank God I ain’t dead or behind bars.”

Check out more photos from Dedrick D. Williams aka Tatooman Chuckie’s Instagram below:

According to eyewitness accounts, Williams was scoping XXXTentacion out at the motorcycle shop. The story goes that Williams waited for XXX to come back to the bike shop with money (the rapper allegedly left the dealership and went to the bank before heading back to the bike shop) and that’s when Williams and two others robbed and killed the “SAD!” rapper.

According to Gossip In The City (aka Fameolous), the police suspected Williams was was XXXTentacion’s killer the day of the murder, however, they didn’t release any information because they knew Williams would try to run and/or hurt other people.

The case is still under investigation and police have issued arrest warrants for Williams’ two accomplices.

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West in Paris at Virgil Abloh’s first Louis Vuitton show

KIM Kardashian has returned to Paris for the first time since her terrifying robbery at gunpoint.

The reality star, 37, sat front row with her husband, rapper Kanye West, at Virgil Abloh’s historic first runway show as artistic director of Louis Vuitton.

Kardashian was flanked by increased security for her first trip back to France since being robbed of $US10 million ($A13.5 million) worth of jewellery and other personal possessions during a violent hotel invasion in October 2016.

“She wants to move on completely from what happened and going back helped with closure,” a source told E!.

“She has missed it and felt like it was the right time to go,” the source said. “She felt comfortable because she had Kanye by her side the entire time.

“She also had beefed up security because there were so many paparazzi.”

“It was good for her to go back, but emotional at the same time,” the source said, according to E!.

“It’s been so long, but it’s a city she has always loved and she wants to be able to visit regularly again.”

Kardashian was tied up and held at gunpoint in a Paris hotel room where five burglars robbed her of $US10 million ($A13.5 million) worth of jewellery, including her $4.9 million ($A6.2 million) engagement ring.

She previously said she would return to Paris “maybe in like, five, six, seven, ten years”.

Speaking on Keeping Up With the Kardashians last year, Kardashian had said: “I don’t want to go anytime soon”.

Kardashian and West sat front row at the Louis Vuitton men’s spring/summer 2019 show — the first by the French luxury house’s new artistic director, Virgil Abloh.

Long-time friends and collaborators Abloh — who founded high-end streetwear brand Off-White — and West shared an emotional hug as the designer did a lap of the runway marking the end of the show, with Kanye visibly crying.

“He Left Us a Final Gift”

Even though XXXTentacion is no longer with us, it looks like he’s leaving a piece of himself behind.

Just three days after the “SAD!” rapper was murdered in South Florida, his mom revealed some big news via Instagram that will surely have XXX’s fans looking toward the future.

“He left us a gift,” Cleopatra Bernard captioned a photo of an ultrasound Thursday (Jun. 21), revealing that before his tragic death, the 20-year-old rapper was expecting a baby.

The date written on the sonogram reads April 23rd, 2018, and it was taken at 8 weeks, 3 days. By now, the mother should be about 16 weeks along. Bernard did not reveal who the mother of X’s rumored unborn child is.

Xanarchkitty, a stripper/female rapper from Ft. Lauderdale, who was friends with XXXTentacion, re-posted the ultrasound photo on her Instagram story, but quickly took it down after people started assuming she was the baby mama and posted this:

“What is wrong with you guys! I never said I was the mom I was simply sharing the sonogram and sending a blessing!! Whoever tried to make me look bad like I would ever create an assumption like that is awful!! Please stop sharing that! To anyone who was offended or thought something bad I’m sorry that is not true.”

XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was gunned down Monday (Jun. 18) outside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida in what police believe was an attempted robbery.

On Wednesday, the suspected shooter, Dedrick D. Williams, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Williams appeared in court Thursday to be formally charged and was denied bond. Police said they have warrants issued for two more suspects.

According to the XXX’s lawyers, the rapper was on “modified house arrest,” and was awaiting trial for multiple charges including domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery and false imprisonment of a pregnant woman.

His ex-girlfriend Geneva Ayala, who accused him of the abuse, and is NOT the woman currently carrying his alleged unborn child, tweeted about how upset she was after his death.

“It’s disgusting that people are speaking for me. I don’t care if no one cared about me however many months ago, I didn’t lose my life. He did. It’s permanent,” she said. “I’m still here. Like how do you think that makes me feel? Everyone expecting me to be relieved or happy?! No, I’m broken.”

In January 2017, Ayala accused XXX of domestic violence in a lengthy testimony, including an allegation of slapping her so hard “you hear ringing.” She also claimed he threatened to vaginally penetrate her with either a barbecue fork or a barbecue brush.

She said in her testimony that once she became pregnant with his child, he punched and strangled her before leaving her alone in a room for two days. XXXTentacion denied Geneva’s allegations.

Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson: Seth Rogen says what we’re all thinking

IF you follow either pop star Ariana Grande or her new fiance, SNL comic Pete Davidson, on Instagram, chances are you’ll feel like you’re intimately involved in their relationship.

The intensely loved-up young couple have been very vocal about their weeks-old love affair on social media and it is … a lot. While we wouldn’t begrudge anyone their happiness, their near-constant torrent of gooey social media comments and posts directed at one another begs the question: Have you guys every heard of texting?

Knocked Up star Seth Rogen put it succinctly in a comment under Davidson’s latest Instagram post — a glamorous photo of Grande reclining beachside that he’d captioned: “What the actual f**k.”

“Guys seriously,” Rogen commented underneath, which pretty much sums it up.

Davidson hit back at Rogen’s less-than-supportive comment, responding with this: “when ur getting married to the hottest girl in the world tell me how you’d act.”

media_cameraSeth Rogen says what we’re all thinking.

Rogen isn’t the first celeb to offer a somewhat weary reaction to Ariana and Pete’s lovefest — when news first broke of the pair’s engagement after just a few weeks of dating, comedian (and divorcee) Kathy Griffin tweeted Grande a warning: “Get a pre-nup girl — trust me. Protect that money.”

Davidson, 24, couldn’t contain his excitement about his engagement to Grande, also 24, during an appearance on The Tonight Show this week.

“I feel like I won a contest. It’s so sick,” he said. “It’s f**king lit, Jimmy. It’s so lit.”

The comedian gave Grande a stunning engagement ring that cost a whopping $126,307.

Sam Smith, singer accused of fat shaming fan at California cafe

SAM Smith has been accused of fat shaming a fan after posting a video mocking her big breakfast.

The 26-year-old singer was enjoying a bite to eat with boyfriend Brandon Flynn in a cafe in California last Sunday.

Taking to Instagram, he filmed a woman, who has since been identified as London office worker Lauren Brooks, enjoying breakfast at the neighbouring table, zooming in on her plate of French toast and whipped cream.

As 13 Reasons Why actor Brandon pulled a face, Sam wrote “good going” across the clip.

Lauren only discovered Sam had filmed her after checking his Instagram after finishing her meal at Millie’s Cafe in Los Angeles.

While the clip has since been deleted, Lauren said she felt the singer mocked her.

The Daily Star quoted her as saying: “It seems as if he is fat-shaming me for having such a big breakfast,” she said.

“He has 9.5 million followers — and anyone who knew me and followed him would recognise me right away.

“Imagine if I was a girl who was even slightly insecure about her weight?

“To have a celeb mock her for eating a meal would be horrendous.”

However a representative for Sam told The Sun Online the singer had actually filmed her plate “because he was jealous of her fabulous breakfast.”

Sam — who has lost 22kg since rising to fame in 2012 — recently opened up to The Sun about his relationship with Brandon, 24, who he has been dating since autumn last year.

“I am having a really beautiful time right now. I am in a really happy headspace and learning so much.

“It’s everything I’ve ever wanted or dreamt of.

“Just like any relationship, it’s important to have someone who understands your life.

“We are opposites but also similar in many ways and it is nice to have someone who understands — especially with the travelling.

“I have a house in LA and am all over the place. It’s great, we are young and it’s good to travel.”

What Does the Name “XXXTentacion” Mean? Where Did He Get It From?

Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy’s rap name was XXXTentacion, but what does it mean?

Back in March 2017, the rapper described the etymology behind his unique stage name to Miami 103.5 The Beat’s K. Foxx, saying that the moniker means “unknown temptation.”

Onfroy referred to “X” as the “only unknown numeral to [him].” He said: “‘X’ is a variable like the wildcards and unknown.” As for the “Tentacion” part of his name, that comes from the Latin word for “Temptation.” Additionally, the word “tentación” means temptation in Spanish.

Asked by he chose three X’s, Onfroy explained that he used to watch a LOT of porn when he was younger. “I don’t really know, it just came to me I guess,” he said. “I used to jerk off a lot… I’m talking about I used to watch blue movie after blue movie.” Onfroy added that his chronic masturbation caused his grandmother to limit his time in the bathroom.

Watch XXXTentacion’s full interview with Miami 103.5 The Beat here:

A Reddit thread from 2017 speculated that the rapper’s name came from his porn addiction, but one user had another theory, saying that Onfroy saw Miami rapper/producer SpaceGhostPurrp had a mixtape with the tracks “XXX” and “Temptation” and put them together, changing “Temptation” to the Spanish form to make “XXXTentacion.”

The first song that Onfroy released under his rap moniker was “Vice City” in 2013. He uploaded the song to Soundcloud not too long after he was released from a juvenile detention center after spending time there for gun possession charges.

His name was written as “Xxxtentacion” at the time, but in November 2017, it was changed on Spotify to “XXXTENTACION.” In a round-up explaining where rappers got their stage names from, Complex noted that XXXTentacion’s name “may be hard to pronounce, but its meaning is straightforward.”

Onfroy was shot dead in Deerfield Beach, Florida on June 18th, 2018 after leaving a motorcycle dealership. TMZ first broke the news that the rapper had been shot and bystanders noted that he wasn’t breathing and had “no pulse.” His death was confirmed an hour later by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities suspect the shooter(s)’ motive may have been robbery, as his Louis Vuitton bag was stolen after the shooting.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office is reportedly offering $3,000 in exchange for information leading to an arrest in XXXTentacion’s shooting death.

Jim Jones Arrested for Drugs & Gun Possession After Police Chase on Georgia Highway

Rapper Jim Jones was arrested in Georgia after leading police on a chase that ended with him getting popped for possession of drugs and a firearm, TMZ reports.

Cops attempted to pull over a grey Mercedes SUV Jim was riding in with three other people in Cowetta County, GA Thursday night (Jun. 21). According to police,  the grey Mercedes SUV was traveling south on I-85 and reportedly drifted into the left-hand emergency lane several times.

Instead of stopping for police, the car accelerated, which sparked a chase, the Sheriff’s Department said. The car eventually stopped after running into a deputy’s vehicle. Jones was NOT driving at the time. The “We Fly High” rapper was simply a passenger in the backseat.

Here’s exactly what happened, per the Newnan Times-Herald:

When Investigator Jeremy Wood with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office pulled up beside the SUV, the interior of the car appeared to be filled with smoke and the smell of marijuana was apparent after Wood rolled down his window, according to Chief Deputy James Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

A traffic stop was conducted on the SUV at exit 35, where the driver of the SUV reportedly rolled through the stop sign at the bottom of the exit ramp before pulling over on the side of Hwy 29.

While officers were exiting their vehicle, the driver of the SUV accelerated and led police on a short chase that ended on Griffin Street near Frazier’s, where Wood pulled in front of the SUV to stop it and was intentionally struck by the driver, Yarbrough said.

The occupants of the SUV were then ordered out of the car and to place their hands on the roof.

Jones said he had told the driver of the car, , to pull over, but stated she was acting “incoherent,” according to the report.

After searching the vehicle, deputies found marijuana, 23 Oxycodone pills, Percocets, vape cartridges, THC oil, two loaded pistols and $148 cash, which Jim called “just petty cash.” According to cops, of the two guns they found, one of them was stolen.

Ana Rajnee Miles, Darnell Maurice Wright, and Jamal Rajhun Smith were arrested along with Jim Jones.

Because no one admitted to the possession of any of the items, although Jones said he had a prescription for the Oxy and Percs, everyone was arrested.

Jones, who also reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana but denied that the weed found in the car was his, told the cops that he told the driver—identified as 23-year-old Ana Rajnee Miles—to pull over, but she was acting “incoherent.”

Jim Jones, whose real name is Joseph Guillermo Jones, was charged with three felonies: possession of a stolen gun, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of narcotics. The 41-year-old rapper was also hit with a misdemeanor charge for the prescription pills not being in their original container. He was later released on $7,000 bail.

As for Jones’ friends, Miles was charged with aggravated assault, fleeing/attempting to elude police, theft by receiving stolen property, narcotics possession, marijuana possession, dangerous drugs to be kept in original container, aggressive driving and failure to maintain lane.

31-year-old Darnell Maurice Right and 32-year-old Jamal Rajhun Smith, were also charged with narcotics possession, marijuana possession and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Smith was also charged with theft by receiving stolen property.

Demi Lovato reveals relapse after six years of sobriety

DEMI Lovato has revealed she relapsed just months after celebrating six years of sobriety.

“To the ones who never left me / We’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore,” Lovato, 25, sings in her new single, Sober, released Thursday.

Elsewhere in the song, she apologises for the “drinks spilled on the floor” and admits, “I wanna be a role model / But I’m only human … I’m sorry that I’m here again / I promise I’ll get help / It wasn’t my intention / I’m sorry to myself.”

The former Disney star hinted on Twitter numerous times in the last month that her “truth” was coming — and that not everyone would be happy with it.

“There’s nothing like the truth. The honest to God, uncomfortable and shocking truth. Sometimes you have to share your story in the most honest way possible … for me that’s through music,” she wrote in May, adding, “Sometimes you have to end an era to begin talking about a new chapter of your life.”

She also hinted days later that she’d made some changes to her lifestyle and inner circle.

“I feel like I’ve grown more in the past two months than I have in years. I feel like a new woman and I’m so grateful for my life today,” she wrote on June 1.

Two days later, after fans noticed she’d unfollowed her CAST Centres partner and sober coach Mike Bayer, she tweeted to a fan that the biggest lesson she learned this year is that “You can’t always trust people who you once thought saved you.”

As it turned out, Lovato split from her longtime management company and PR company, PhillyMack, and signed with Roc Nation.

media_cameraShe’s been very open about her struggle to stay sober. Neilson Barnard/Getty Images/AFP

In March, Lovato marked her sixth year of sobriety but continued to struggle with her addiction.

In her October 2017 documentary, the Confident singer admitted she had used drugs while promoting a sober lifestyle back in 2012.

“I wasn’t working my program, I wasn’t ready to get sober. I was sneaking [cocaine] on planes, I was sneaking it in bathrooms, sneaking it throughout the night … I went on a bender of like, two months where I was using daily,” she recalled. “There was one night when I used a bunch of coke and I popped a few Xanax bars, and I began to choke a little bit. My heart started racing, and I thought to myself, ‘Oh my God, I might be overdosing right now.’”

She also confessed to faking urine tests and going through about 20 different sober companions before finally getting clean, as well as to being tempted to relapse after attending the 2016 Met Gala.

“I had a terrible experience,” she said. “This one celebrity was a complete b**ch and was miserable to be around. It was very cliquey. I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink … I changed my clothes, but I still had my diamonds on — millions of dollars of diamonds on in an AA meeting, and I related more to the homeless people in that meeting who struggled with the same struggles that I deal with than the people at the Met Gala — fake and sucking the fashion industry’s d**k.”

Her past issues extended beyond alcohol and drug addiction, as the singer also engaged in self-harm and admitted to having suicidal thoughts when she was just 7 years old.

She also previously hinted at being a survivor of sexual abuse.

East Pittsburgh Police Officer Identified in Antwon Rose Shooting

The East Pittsburgh police officer who shot and killed 17-year-old Antwon Rose while he ran away from cops during a traffic stop Tuesday (Jun. 19) has been identified as 30-year-old Michael Rosfeld, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Rosfeld had only been on duty in East Pittsburgh for three weeks and been sworn in just 90 minutes before the shooting. He was placed on leave after the shooting and has not commented. It isn’t clear if he has retained an attorney.

Authorities said Rosfeld pulled over the car Rose was in Tuesday night because it matched the description of a vehicle used just minutes earlier in a shooting in a neighboring town. As Rosfeld took the driver into custody, Rose and another not-yet-identified passenger jumped out of the car and ran.

Video footage recorded by an eyewitness shows Rosfeld shooting Rose in the back as he fled the scene. After gunshots were heard, the person recording the video gasps in shock and can be heard saying, “Why are they shooting at them? … All they did was run and they’re shooting at them?”

The teen, who lives in Rankin (a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania about 8 miles south of Pittsburgh), was taken to the hospital via ambulance and was pronounced dead at 9:10 p.m.

An eyewitness told WTAE-TV that she saw the whole thing go down from her porch. She said she saw officers approaching the vehicle with their guns drawn, and when the officers handcuffed the driver, that’s when the two passengers opened their doors and took off running. She then heard shots fired.

The shooting occurred in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a borough with about 2,000 residents in Allegheny County that is about 15 minutes outside the city of Pittsburgh. According to police, the incident began with another shooting in neighboring North Braddock. The 22-year-old male who was shot in the shooting police were initially responding to was taken to the hospital and survived.

Police said Officer Rosfeld fired three shots and Rose was hit three times. Allegheny County Police Department Superintendent Coleman McDonough said he “briefly saw” the video footage of the shooting.

“It’s important, however it has to be taken in the context of the entire investigation,” he said. “It’s a snapshot in time and while important, it will be factored into the larger totality of the investigation.”

McDonough added, “I understand in today’s atmosphere any time a young man is killed there’s cause for outrage in some areas. However, I would urge people to give us time to conduct an objective investigation, to gather facts. As you know, social media is so prolific now, some of the initial postings on social media that came out directly after this incident were inaccurate and inflammatory. So I would urge that people in the community give us a chance to conduct an investigation and I guarantee that’s what they will get from the Allegheny Police.”

McDonough said there are rare times when shooting someone in the back can be justified.

“It’s very complex, there are a lot of dynamics. There is something called a reactionary gap between the time a human perceives a threat and is able to act on it,” he explained. “Things happen, people turn around and things. I’m not saying that any of that applies to this situation because it’s too early and we can’t make judgments. Ultimately, our findings will go to the district attorney and he will make that judgment whether or not this was a justified use of force by a police officer.”

The investigation into Rose’s shooting is ongoing. Police said two firearms were found in the car Rose ran from, but authorities have said they didn’t find a gun near Rose or on his person after he was shot. Bystanders said he was not armed and had his back to officers when he was gunned down.

McDonough said the officer was conducting a “felony traffic stop” and ordered the driver out and had him “prone” on the ground. He said the officer also gave a command to the other occupants in the vehicle and that’s when they took off running. McDonough said he believes police gave Rose a verbal order before the shots were fired.

McDonough said he was confident the vehicle officers pulled over was the one used in the shooting. He said it matched the description given by eyewitnesses and had damage to the back window that was possibly caused by gunshots returned by the shooting victim during the first incident.

The driver of the vehicle was released after being interviewed by detectives and was not charged. The driver told police he worked as a jitney, an unlicensed cab driver, and was working in that role Tuesday night, according to the Post-Gazette. Police confirmed the driver had worked as a jitney in the past.

The other man who ran from the vehicle was not apprehended, and police are asking him to turn himself in “so that he can give a comprehensive description of what occurred.”

Antwon Rose’s shooting death at the hands of police has sparked outrage in the community and all over the United States. A rally was held in East Pittsburgh Wednesday amid a heavy rain shower.
