Woman Who Riled Up Twitter With “33 Abortions” Tweet Says She Was Just Joking

A woman who set social media on fire this weekend with a tweet celebrating her engagement “after being a side hoe for 6 years” and having “33 abortions” says she was just joking.

On Thursday (Jun. 28), Twitter user @empyreall went viral on the internet after she tweeted a photo of her hand with an engagement ring, and wrote: “After being the side hoe for 6 years, 33 abortions, and putting his mama in the hospital after running her over in a jeep Cherokee after she called me by his actual girflriends name, he proposed and I said YES!!!”

Upon first glance, anyone with common sense should be able to tell that she wasn’t being serious, because, aside from the “side hoe for 6 years” comment, 1.) who brags about getting 33 abortions? And 2.) why would she boast about running over her future mother-in-law and putting her in the hospital?

Folks didn’t even take the time to visit her profile either, which says “screenwriter, sports enthusiast, movie fanatic, sarcastic a**hole, Lebron stan, gap toothed goddess & avid bat bitch.”

And besides that, 33 abortions over six years? That would equal to at least 5 abortions per year, which is about one every other month. I believe that at some point the abortion clinic(s) she was going to would look at her like, “GIRL… Do you need some birth control or Plan B or something? Because abortions are not supposed to be used as contraceptives.”

A number of websites also ran with the story, which also gave it legs and made people believe it even more. And while some were able to understand right off the bat she was joking, others were not amused.

The tweet gained so much traction that @empyreall had to follow-up and let people know that she was JK: “so….y’all do know this is a joke right? LMAOOOOO.” She added, “I laid the sarcasm on thick and people still believing me.”

“So let me make this PERFECTLY clear. I have NOT been a side chick for 6 years,” she said in another tweet. “Nor have I had 33 abortions. NOR am I engaged. IDK why y’all take dark humor from twitter and run with it. But if you gone make articles about it, put the tweet that said it was a joke too.”

She also updated her bio with this: “I DID NOT HAVE 33 ABORTIONS I WAS TROLLIN.”

Twitter seemed relieved that the whole thing was just a joke, with some expressing shock that they didn’t know that from the jump:

Kansas City Man Who “Quit” Popeyes By Singing in Viral Video Admits the Whole Thing Was Fake

The man who went viral last week for “quitting” his “job” at Popeyes by hilariously singing the lyrics “I don’t really wanna work here no more” admits that the whole thing was fake.

Armed with a portable mic and speakers, a man walked into a Popeyes restaurant last week and announced his “resignation” with a catchy song.

“So I got an announcement… I’m quitting my job today,” he said before breaking out into song. “I don’t really want to work here no more,” the man melodically sang over the beat while customers chuckled and whipped out their phones to record the moment. “I quit!” he yelled after singing and rapping for nearly two straight minutes.

The clip, which was originally uploaded to Facebook and YouTube last Tuesday (May 15) and posted on Twitter the following day, became an instant viral hit. As of today, on Facebook, it has so far racked up more than 3 million views and 53,000 shares. And on Twitter, it has been watched over 5 million times, with over 145,000 retweets and 300,000 likes.

According to the man in the video—Cedrick Workuff from Kansas City, Missouri—he never really worked at Popeyes in the first place. He said he and his cousin Marco Summers (the man behind the camera) just wanted to spread a little positivity and bring some humor into folks’ lives with the viral clip.

“It’s something me and Marco wanted to put in the works,” Workuff told KSHB. “It wasn’t planned. It was all improvised. Only the idea was planned.”

Summers said that other videos he’s made have been picked up by celebrities and TV shows like Right This Minute. He said his inspiration comes from his own experiences.

“I’ve been through most of the stories I talk about. Instead of letting them damage me, I make them something funny,” Summers said. “It’s opening a door for people to laugh at situations like that.”

Cedrick and Marco hope to turn their stories into a TV show one day.

“If we don’t make people smile, we failed,” Summers said. “Our main missing is to bring back peace and love through laughter,” said Workuff.

Although it’s slightly disappointing that he didn’t actually quit by reworking one of the hottest tracks of 1998, but it still takes guts to go into a random Popeye’s, break into song ,and then theatrically throw your apron on the floor. There were apparently no hard feelings: Shortly afterward, Workcuff posted a picture of a box of Popeye’s chicken on Facebook. “Still had to get some anyway lol,” he wrote.

While it’s a bit disappointing to find out that he didn’t actually quit his job by remixing one of the hottest tracks of the 90’s—Big Pun and Joe’s “Still Not A Player“—it takes guts to waltz into a random Popeyes and break into song.

And, apparently, there are no hard feelings between him and the restaurant. Not too long after filming his viral clip, Workuff posted a photo of a box of Popeyes chicken on Facebook. “Still had to get some anyway lol,” he wrote.

Also, according to a more recent post, Cedric says he was signed by Gucci Mane’s 1017 Bricksquad label, though we’re inclined to believe this is also a joke too, considering he never worked at Popeyes.

Twitter Drags 43-Year-Old Conservative Pundit for Aging Like an Avocado

Millions of people watched Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding on TV and online.

After the fairytale wedding came the Royal Wedding dress debate, with fans and pop culture/political analysts discussing who had the best wedding dress between the Duchess of Sussex (Meghan) and her new sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton).

“Political dummy” Katie Hopkins weighed in on the debate, saying that it was “no competition,” because, in her opinion, Kate had a certain level of “class” that Meghan doesn’t possess, which wasn’t a surprising comment coming from someone like Katie Hopkins, who has no problem letting people know her distaste for people of color.

A bit of a backstory before we move forward with the hilarious memes: Katie Hopkins is a far-right commentator from the United Kingdom who has said a number of vile things against brown people, including calling someone a “jiggaboo” on Twitter and implying that immigrants should be shot if they try to enter the U.K.

So when Katie—an old, dried up crustacean—came for the insanely beautiful Princess Meghan, Twitter used a bunch of hilarious memes putting the 43-year-old beside folks who are OLDER and prettier than her to let her know she looks terrible for her age, or, as someone put it, she’s “43 going on 93.”

In other words, how the hell are you gonna come for someone’s looks when you’re aging like an avocado?

Also, this is what happens when you’re ugly on the inside:

And y’all… Lemme tell you… the juxtapositions were some of the funniest stuff I’ve ever witnessed on social media, and I’ve been doing this internet thing for a WHILE now.

Take a look at some of my favorites below:

In the words of every black grandma that ever lived, “God don’t like ugly.”

Maybe in the future, Katie Hopkins will think before she speaks. But, who the are we kidding? She’s going to keep spewing foul hateful things from that hole in her face and Twitter is just going to keep dragging her for filth, as they should.
