Twitter Reacts to Yolanda Adams Rapping Along to Migos’ “Stir Fry” at the BET Awards

The BET Awards aired live on television Sunday night (Jun. 24) and featured performances from a number of top acts in R&B and Hip-Hop, including J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, Janelle Monae, Snoop Dogg and Migos.

During Migos’ performance of their hit single “Stir Fry,” the camera panned to the audience and caught Gospel queen Yolanda Adams not only enjoying the performance, but also spitting the lyrics, which, unsurprisingly, had Twitter in shambles.

For what it’s worth, “Stir Fry” is an undeniably catchy tune that has been all over the radio for months, but who knew that Gospel’s biggest act was out here listening to rap songs about cooking crack? Twitter sure didn’t!

Offset Bought a Car For the Man Who Helped Him After His Accident: “He Saved My Life”

Offset almost lost his life in a pretty serious car crash last month, and now the Migos rapper is paying it forward by helping out the Good Samaritan who he says saved his life.

According to TMZ, the rap superstar (born: Kiari Kendrell Cephus) totaled his green Dodge Challenger in Atlanta the night of May 16th after reportedly swerving to avoid hitting a “crackhead” in the road.

A number of photos Offset posted showing the damage to the car and his injuries revealed the severity of the crash. The rapper had multiple injuries to his hand, arms, and face.

Offset says a Good Samaritan by the name of Jamar Coleman had been walking to work when he saw the rapper climbing out of the wrecked vehicle and helped get him to safety. So, to express his gratitude to Jamar, Offset purchased a car for the man, who Offset says is a father.

In a video clip that went viral on social media, Offset repeatedly thanks Jamar as he hands him the keys to a Nissan Altima. “THANK YOU JAMAR FOR HELPING SAVE MY LIFE. GOD IS GOOD,” he wrote on Twitter.

“My boy Jamar saved my life, I got him a new whip. He was walking to work when he saved my life. I got my boy a nice car man,” Offset says in the video. “Take care of your kids with that brother,” he can be heard telling Jamar, who seemed very thankful for the gift.

“He saved my life when I had that accident. He’s the only one that seen me, helped me get out the car, helped me walk [and] get to where I had to get to, so I bought my boy a car… God is good all the time,” Offset added.

Quavo Says Offset Is “Doing Fine” and “Should Be Back Working Real Soon,” Talks Upcoming Solo Migos Projects

Quavo was the only Migos member who attended the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night (May 20) in Las Vegas.

Before the show’s festivities kicked off, the rapper was asked about the condition of his cousin and groupmate Offset, who was banged up pretty bad last week after getting into a car accident.

“My boy Offset got into a bad car accident, but he doing fine, he up and running, he up and walking, ready to work,” Quavo told Billboard. “He should be back working real, real soon. It’s a blessing that he’s still here. God is good.”

God really is good, because Offset released a bunch of photos from the crash showing off his injuries and how badly the car was wrecked, and it’s a miracle he made it out not only alive, but with what’s considered pretty minor injuries.

Quavo also talked to Billboard about new music and revealed that Migos are working on some new projects right now, including some solo tracks, but he didn’t want to reveal too much.

“We got a lot of projects coming this summer,” he teased. “This July, we got DJ Durel. He gonna be releasing a lot of our solo songs on his album, so we do got solo singles that’s coming this summer.”

The rapper Migos frontman also opened up about lending some backing vocals to Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” which he called “amazing” and “a blessing.”

“It’s overwhelming,” he continued. “Me and Donald got a good history, you know, he shouted us out at the awards and we’ve been on Atlanta, and him going back and forth… our communication and our connection is real strong, so whenever he calls me and says, ‘Let’s do some music,’ we’ll just pull up and just work.”
